Seeing the need to create a path in Malaysia for an English-based preschool, ingrained with Islamic values with vibrant and cheerful education approach, Zaliza left her profession as a lecturer and opened the first Genius Aulad branch back in December of 2000.
The formation of her humble child care centre was the first step to her becoming a pioneer concept provider for aspiring entrepreneurs within Permodalan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB), and for the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism (KPDNKK) – now with more than 70 branches of the high performance preschool centres under the Genius Aulad brand.
Despite nabbing various awards through the brand, Zaliza was never one to be easily content. Driven by the need to improve every facet of education, she eventually setup the Idrissi International School, the first Islamic school registered with the WWF Eco-School organization, and Sekolah TINTA, a STEM-based national private school infused with Islamic values.
Apart from being the founder and executive director for the GAINS Education Group, Zaliza also serves as Education Consultant for various educational content on TV3, TV Al Hijrah and Astro , such as the recent highest rating educational animation in Malaysia, Omar & Hana.
Her resourcefulness also led her to start Eduventor Teachers Academy to provide vibrant quality training for teachers, thus creating one of the most well-thought eco-system of early childhood education in Malaysia.
