A Decade of Excellence: IDRISSI International School Celebrates 10th Anniversary

SETIA ALAM, SELANGOR, 8 FEBRUARY 2025 — IDRISSI International School proudly marks its 10th anniversary, celebrating a decade of nurturing young minds through a unique blend of international curriculum, environmental education, and Islamic values.

“What started as a humble school with only 50 students in 2015 has now grown into two thriving schools in Setia Alam and Johor Bahru, with nearly 700 students and a strong community of students, parents, and educators who share the same vision,” said Puan Julie Wong, the Chief Executive Officer of GAINS Education Group, the holding company of IDRISSI International School.

She continued, “We are excited to expand, starting with the opening of our third school in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, later this year, accommodating approximately 1,000 students. Plans are also underway to introduce IDRISSI International Tahfiz School, combining international and Islamic education with a dedicated boarding facility, as well as new branches in Cyberjaya and Kuala Lumpur within the next two to five years.”

The 10-year milestone is commemorated through IDRISSI’s annual student exhibition, themed Secrets of the Universe: Through Nature’s Lens. Featuring 14 interactive booths, the exhibition explores deep-sea ecosystems, volcanic landscapes, celestial phenomena and more, fostering a deeper understanding of Earth’s ecosystems and students’ role as Khalifah.

“IDRISSI’s learning system emphasises 21st-century skills such as creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. To showcase their booths during the exhibition, they must conduct research, think creatively, ask questions, analyse information, and work as a team. This process strengthens essential life skills that will benefit them beyond school, InsyaAllah,” said Puan Nur Raimi Rasdi, Principal of IDRISSI International School Setia Alam.

IDRISSI has also made remarkable achievements on national and international stages, including receiving a 5 stars rating by the Ministry of Education (MOE) for the Quality Standards Award for Private Education Institutions. Last year, the school was also honoured to be named the Elite Winner for Best International School of the Year by the Private Education Entrepreneurs Association of Malaysia. Additionally, IDRISSI students recently won Gold at the Malaysia Technology Expo 2024 for their Biogas Power Generator project.

“We would not have been where we are today without the support and trust of our parents, teachers, students, and community. Their contributions have been instrumental in shaping the school’s journey.
